Hey everyone! My name is Nels and I am a 23 year old guy from the US traveling through Europe and Scandinavia this summer and I am looking for cool ways to get to know the cities I visit.

I work in health sciences and am currently finishing a year of diabetes research at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway.

I am a very active person and enjoy running, hiking, and cross-country skiing in my free time.

I am outgoing and always interested in learning or trying new things!

I really enjoy all types music depending on my mood, but I mostly listen to classical music. I really enjoy Russian composers.

As far as contemporary music goes I mostly listen to music from the 90's and 00's.

I also love Earth, Wind and Fire...anything funk!

I learned Norwegian in the US and now speak it fluently. This year here I have enjoyed meeting people from all over Norway and listening to their dialects. I would love to learn about as many as possible.

I also have a fun time learning about the differences in Norwegian and Norwegian-American culture. It's a pretty big difference!
