I like to think of myself as a very open-minded and easy-going kind of guy. Some people may disagree but, oh well, we can't please everyone.

I can be a bit shy sometimes, but once I get to know a person, I'm a really good friend and I'd do anything for the people I truly like.

I should also mention that I have quite a nerdy taste for things, haha. I can spend hours talking about TV shows (or even pokemon, but I might delete this information later because it's too embarrassing).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quite recently I had the opportunity to travel to another country to live abroad for one year. So here I am, living in Ireland, far away from home and from my friends, trying to enjoy this experience the best I can. And I believe there's no better way to enjoy it than travelling around and getting to know new people, new cultures and new ideas.

Interests

That would be a huge list, so I'll try to focus on my main interests. I'm not exactly an active person (even though I keep trying to push myself into doing new things), so I'm very fond of reading, listening to music, long conversations (hey, gotta practice my english), playing videogames (all of them) and I enjoy cooking (I swear I'm not just writing that so people will want to host me).

Well, I'm particularly keen on indie rock, but I don't have a specific taste. However, I believe a few names deserve to be mentioned in here:
Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, Garbage, Queens of the stone age, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Smashing pumpkins, The Smiths, Bat for Lashes, Chico Buarque, Marisa Monte.

Movies:
Anything Tarantino puts his hands on, Lars Von Trier, Kubrick, Almodóvar, Bergman.

My favourite movie is The hours.

TV series:
Six feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, True Detective, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, Charmed, Penny Dreadful, Parks and recreation, Daredevil, Homeland.

Books:
Anything Milan Kundera writes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sunrise in the Sahara desert, after spending one entire day with local people experiencing their culture.

I also watched the sunset in the Arpoador in Rio de Janeiro several times. Each one of them was amazing.
