About Me
Hello there! :-) I am Wenlin, a 5' 1" girl living in a tiny tropical island called Singapore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As cliche as it sounds, I love meeting new people because everyone has a story to tell, a lesson to teach, and wisdom to share. What better way to meet new people from the other side of the world other than Couchsurfing?

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a broad spectrum of music. Chill, indie and acoustic music on days when I take long walks or study. They are music which make me feel so light and happy. A very good example of these genres is this mix - https://youtu.be/wlsdMpnDBn8. Some good old R&B on days when I feel good about myself, like Chris Brown's Songs on 12 Play or Yuna's Crush. Also, as a DJ and young adult, I wouldn't deny myself some headbangers on crazy nights. Any genre that isn't too noisy and can set my heart pumping.
I love action movies or any movies which can make me bounce up and down my seat. Even though the movies which I have been rewatching for the past few weeks are the Star Trek series.
I've been obsessed with Patrick Rothfuss' The Kingkiller Chronicle. If anybody knows when he's releasing the third book please let me know! I am currently reading Trudi Canavan's The Ambassador's Mission.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had a beach camping recently; it was amazing sleeping under the stars, blanketed by the constant whooshing of the waves.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share and teach you the basics of DJ-ing as well as the language Mandarin. I am open to learning anything. Your family bolognese recipe? YES! Spanish? YES! Tips and tricks to avoiding the NY subway crowd? YES!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I was born and grew up in Singapore. I can share with you the beauty of Singlish (a hybrid of Singapore's four official languages - English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) which is studied by linguists from at least seven universities around the world. Or I can make you a cup of Milo Dinosaur, a Singaporean drink which I dare say is much better than a chocolate smoothie.
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States
