About Me
If I were to describe myself in 3 words it would be, spontaneous, awkward and compassionate. I’m pretty easy going and love to explore anywhere and everywhere. The thing I love about traveling and going to places I’ve never been is learning about others and myself. I love culture, food and dancing.
I’ve grown up and lived in Canada for most of my life. I’ve been living in Northern Canada (Northwest Territories) for the past 3 years and it’s been amazing! It’s definitely another part of the country that needs to be experienced by people who love the outdoors. I’m an easy going person and I’m up to do anything at least once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couchsurf because it is the best way to travel. There really is no other way (well maybe there is but it's one of the top choices ) My couchsurfing experience made my travels even better than expected. I have made some great friends out of doing this.
I think couchsurfing is a brilliant idea. Why travel and stay at expensive hotels when you can stay with locals who are opened to sharing their home and themselves. Couchsurfing will let you meet people from all over the world who are so different and who knows if you would meet them any other way. It's a great way to learn about others and the world.
Interests
My biggest interests would be:
Food and Eating! I mean you can't survive without it so might as well enjoy every bite!
Dancing is a hobby of mine. I enjoy all kinds of dancing but particularly Salsa and I would LOVE to learn Flamenco in the near future.
A random thing I'm into is sheep farming. I love it! It's a pass time favourite activity of mine. I guess my true calling is to be a shepherd.
Other interests of mine include: Knitting, reading, arts & crafts, volunteering , gardening, playing sports (tennis, soft ball, squash & muay thai) and hiking

Music, Movies, and Books
I honestly detest the "what's your favourite kind of music". You can't answer that in one sentence. The music I listen to depends on my mood. Sometimes it's classical and sometimes it's funk... any kind of music is good you just need to pick the good songs out of the bad. 😉
Top Movies for me: Brave Heart, Pride and Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Tropic Thunder, Chocolat, Whale Rider, Boy, School of Rock, Pocahontas and I Love you Man
Top Books: The Book of Negroes, Shantaram, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Raga Mala: The Autobiography of Ravi Shankar, Angela's Ashes, The Glass Castle & The Shadow of the Wind
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I performed a swing dance routine in 2014 with my dance partner in front of over 300 people. I've never had any swing experience before and we only practiced 2 months before hand.
Here's a rough video of the performance
