Hi there! I am a friendly, open-minded person who likes meeting friendly, open-minded people (not a big suprise, right? :)). I enjoy exploring new places, talking, going out for a drink, cooking and even more eating, sports (running, climbing... even though I often have to force myself to start doing sports, but then it usually is a lot of fun!) watching movies. Learning new languages is also fun, after a Portugal trip of 5 weeks I am working on learning Portugese now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of meeting locals who maybe have suggestions of what to do at places I travel to. Unfortunately, time is usually limited so it is great if somebody prevents you from spending it by doing tourist stuff that it is not worth the time and money.
In the last few weeks I have not really settled down anywhere, but as soon as I do so I am very much looking forward to hosting nice people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh there are a lot of great and very different movies... a few I liked a lot are: Memento, Burn after reading, Welcome to the Sticks (I dont know if it is funny in English, it was funny in German and is probably even funnier in French)... And I loved watching Game of Thrones...so thrilling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the end of this year I travelled to Porto in Portugal for a one-week-holiday... and I liked it so much that I decided to stay longer. 1 week became 5, I met a lot of lovely people, made some friends and discovered great places. I did not manage to learn fluent Portugese in this time, but I am still working on it :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I can be a nice conversation partner :) Also I could share my enthusiasm for cooking, even though I am better at baking I think... Also we could do sports together, I enjoy climbing a lot!
