Overview
About Me
I'm a south german guy living in Berlin and doing my masters in urban geography at the moment. since I left my hometown I lived in 3 different german cities until I found my love in the city of Berlin and the various ways people shape their lives there.
I'm a sociable guy, that is interested in learning, how life works in other parts of the world. In conversations usually I'm the one who permanently asks questions to get deeper into the topic, or get to know more of the interests or jobs of others. For breakfast I can eat fish or pasta with sauce but please do not serve me jelly or pancakes or any other sweet stuff. Due to my current life situation (work, study), I'm a workoholic (my girlfriend hates me for that) but I'm also able to enjoy spending whole days in bed watching movies (sometimes).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm really excited about learning about the social lifes of people living in the countries I visit. And for me it is always better to learn things by experiencing instead of reading it in museums. I'm on Couchsurfing, because I'm interested in connecting to local people to learn more about how every day's life is in the countries I'm travelling trough and also because I hate travelling from one touristic hot spot to another just to meet with the same tourists I already met in the hostel before. ;-)
And also because I live with my girlfriend and therefore have an additional room in our apartment, which I gladly provide to people, who want to spare money for accommodation to be able to spend it on more important things. Unfortunately I had only two requests up to now and at both weekends I wasn't in Berlin.

Music: Creedence Clearwater Revival, B.B. King, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Doors, Cypress Hill, The Roots, Alpha Blondy, electronic music in general, but also hip hop, folk and punk (or the combination of both)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My journey along the coast of West Africa was one of the most amazing things I've done, because I stayed with many local people and families and learned a lot of their culture and their view of life. I had really a great time over there!
I tried to found a company with friends to provide full automatic solar potential analyses for rooftops, based on remote sensing data. Well, we failed... But it was all worth it, because it was one of the best times I had in my life and also a very educational time. Would always repeat it with the right idea!
Teach, Learn, Share
In general I'm a person who is willing to share everything. And also I'm always willing to learn new things from others. And if there's a certain project or work where volunteers are needed, count me in! :-)
