About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finish my day with an augmented level of knowledge than I had when I started my day.

ABOUT ME

I would like to believe that I am a humble and hail fellow.... diligent, devoted and hard working man... Someone who abhors monotonous and stagnant life, so keep on experimenting with new things and stuff and is passionate to learn about new languages and cultures.
I think this is more than enough for a guy as ordinary as me :)

PHILOSOPHY

In this modern era, we, humans, have all what it takes to lead a luxurious life, glitter, glamor, glory.... but I feel that something is missing.... peace, contentment, originality.
We humans have paid a very high price for the materials ther were not worth it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by offering the sevices of an experienced touristic guide of Paris :) , ofcourse if the guest arrives at week end or during my spare time. Apart from that I like to present my culture to my guests by cooking them traditional food or accompanying them in watching a Bollywood film.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had very nice and learning experiences. Lived the life of an italian man, earned some ever lasting friendships, presented my culture to my guests, and anticipating even more exciting experiences in near future.

Interests

To meet new people and learn about different cultures, religions, languages and life styles, partying (good music and dance) and reading books I also like to cook food for my guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
"The Reluctant Fundamentalist" and "A 1000 Splendid Suns" are recent favorites. As I like to introduce my culture to my hosts/guests, I always present "Three Cups of tea" to almost everyone I surf with. This is a really nice book regarding a man's effort to bring a change. I really like to read and there is a long list of my favorite authors....
Aesop to Archer, Bronte to Bapsi, Cicero To Coelho, Dostoevsky to Dickens, Homer to Hemingway, Gibbon to Grisham, Kafka to King, Maurice to Marquez, Pushkin to Puzo, Rumi to Rowling, Seneca to Sheldon, Tolstoy to Tolkien, Virgil to Voltaire, Wells to Wilde and the list goes on and on....)

Music:
Every kind of music, it depends on the mood.

Movies:
My favorite film of all times is
"The Shawshank Redemption".
it's been a long time since I got the time to watch a movie but some I admired included
Forrest Gump, Scent of a woman, Meet Joe Black, Life is Beautiful, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Gladiator, Passion of the Christ, The Reader, 127 Hours
and on a lighter note Dumb and Dumber, The 40 year old virgin, 40 days and 40 nights, Never been kissed, The Hangover, Before sunrise / Before sunset etc..
The french films
Taxi, Le diner de cons, mon meilleur ami.
Bollywood Films
Three idiots, Astitva, Swades etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am quite an ordinary man, so have never done anything amazing yet :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about my research work of Embedded Systems I have carried so far (of course to my fellow computer engineers). A part from that I am fluent in French. I can share the lessons I learnt from my everyday life. Then the books I read so far, I can teach a bit of salsa as well to my female guests. I expect to learn some new languages and new life styles and open to all the enriching things that my hosts/guests can offer.
