About Me

My stomach leads me in life.
Chaotic good. :)
Curious about the world, strong-willed, clumsy.

I love meeting people and hearing their stories.

If we meet I will probably arrive late, I am sorry beforehand! No sense of time in my brain.

PHILOSOPHY

Make a home outside of home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To catch a glimpse of the worlds of other people and to be able to "travel" vicariously even when being at home

Interests

Exploring the world and its people!

I am interested in languages, literature, international development, and trying to broaden the eurocentric/western approach.

Also into sushi, mexican and peruvian cuisine, breakfast foods, all kinds of sports where I get to chase a ball, boardgames, karaoke, dancehall/reggueton, budget traveling, culinary experimentation, Cuban revolution, making stuff out of clay, painting, floating in water, cardgames, philosophising without objective

Just share your food with me and I will love you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some films I've enjoyed: Fresa y chocolate, Motorcycle Diaries, Life is Beautiful, L'auberge Espagnole, Lagaan, The Lion King, Madeinusa, anything with Al Pacino and Ricardo Darín, Amores Perros, A Prophet, LOTR, El Secreto De Sus Ojos, Fire, Twelve Angry Men, Relatos Salvajes, Iñarritu, Almodovar, argentinian, cuban films

Latin American literature, especially short stories, and anything by Eduardo Galeano. Cortázar, Fuentes, some Borges, Rulfo, Carpentier. Other than Latin American literature and socialist theory, I like classics like Tolstoy, Dostojevskij, Poe, Faulkner, Hemingway, Huxley. Books: Biografía de un cimarrón, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Das Kapital, Walden, Cloud Atlas, El Túnel, The Devils of Loudun, Strange Pilgrims

I have the worst taste in music probably...some nice artists I am not ashamed to admit I listen to: Rodrigo y Gabriela, Calle 13, Heroes del Silencio, Ternipe, Major Lazer, Manu Chao, System of a Down, Inti-Illimani, Compay Segundo, Csík zenekar, Eva Ayllon, Vinicius de Moraes, Bomba Estereo, Kodály, Liszt. Mostly folk, or with instruments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a dog riding a horse. I have proof!

Also, volunteering at Aldea Yanapay! http://yanapay.facipub.com/ truly amazing in every aspect: the children, the place, fellow volunteers and the experience shared.. taking a bit away and leaving something behind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know nothing about many things, so teach me anything you know! I have infinite enthusiasm so I can share that :) and teach you Hungarian, if you want to learn a very useless, complicated language

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always share food, cigarettes, and my sarcastic humor

Countries I’ve Lived In

Cuba, Guatemala, Hungary, Peru, Spain, United States
