Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Madrid.
I studied there a Bachelor in Biology and after that I did a Master Degree in Cell Biology also in Madrid, but then moved to Zürich for six months to do the master thesis.
After I finished the master course, I moved to London to do a phD in Biology and Genetics of Cancer. And here I am, in London, in the middle of my phD. I am also studying a Bachelor in Psychology, part time.
I always loved to travel on my own. This way I have been around Europe, and I have met incredibly nice and funny people, which I am still friends with. Only lately I started to travel with friends, which I enjoy a lot too, and got to go a bit further away than Europe.
Talking about me and my personality, I guess I could say I am social, open-minded, smily, always open to learn and have discussions about different topics. I appear to be a very calm person (I am cursed by my soft voice) which I generally am, but I am also active and willing to move around, do different activities, meet people, hang out and party (it's just my voice...).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard about Couchsurfing on my first solo trip. And at that time, I was not able to host people, but I wanted to live the experience. The idea of shared hospitality between so many different people in so many different countries around the world just seemed a whole great philosophy that I wanted to be part of.
And so I gave it a try. I went to Paris and I was hosted by two great people. They also hosted some other couchsurfers at the same time I was there. I would said it was one of the best experiences in my life, and there I went to the best parties I have ever been to.
I kept on travelling, but never got to do CS again. Although I have been hosted and hosting people I met on my trips, since I moved to Zürich and later in London.
Now answering the question of why I am on Couchsurfing, I love to meet people from all over the world. I think is great and beautiful to realise how we are all the same and have similar humour and tastes, doesn't matter the culture we were raised in. I also think that visiting a city or a country is not only about doing touristic stuff but about discovering how life is there. And what's better for that than mixing with local people. I want to become a citizen for a short period of time, and experience the place.
Regarding me hosting people, unfortunately, the phD consumes most of my time, and my schedule is very varied as to be able to make plans in advance and be a good guest for people. That's why my status is on "not accepting guests".
Interests
The things I am interested on could be listed pretty well below.
Lately, I decided to steal some of my time from studying and give it to myself in another way and enjoy all the cultural options that London offers. And so I started to go to swing classes, and to regular drawing meetings at cafes.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like music. I like different styles. Mainly Punk, House, and these new modern-chill music. Oh, and danceable music.
I really like to read too. I like fiction books, specially stories of families across generations (Isabel Allende type).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say that the last amazing thing I have done was a trip to Nepal & India. The best part of it was the company I had from the beginning, and the company I got during the trip. Also the beautiful landscapes of the Himalayans. Lovely.
Teach, Learn, Share
There are many things I would like to learn, and only a few of which I can teach. I have some general knowledge but personal tips for drawing. I would love to practise my poor French, and learn German and Portuguese. I can teach some Spanish, and some Biology. I can share a good conversation I would say.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can share is not to much, because I'm living in a single room in a shared house. But when I have time to be a good host, I could share a mattress to sleep in my room, a nice home-environment and walks through the city.
