ABOUT ME
Originally from Miami, FL, bounced around for a long while till I ended up in Chicago, where I finally put down some roots. Love living in Chicago, easily the finest city in the US.
I'm generally easy to get along with, love to talk to folks, almost too much at times. Enjoy making meals for people, sitting down to a decent meal, breaking bread and getting to know one another.
Went to University of Miami, UIC and Kendall College for degrees in History, American Culture and Culinary Arts.
Work at a decent high end restaurant along with an underground dining project. Allows me to be a bit more adventurous in the kitchen than your standard gig would allow.
Play a pretty mean bass guitar and I can hold my own on a 6-string.
PHILOSOPHY
Better lives have been lived in the margins, locked in the prisons and lost on the gallows than have ever been enshrined in palaces.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have been hosting Couchsurfers for the past 3 years at my place, albeit through my roommates account. Now that he's moved on, it was time to kickstart my own.
Just trying to share what I know about my area with others who want to come on through Chicago.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some great folks through CouchSurfing the past few years. Now that my roommate who managed the account has moved on, I figured it was time to get my own.
Interests
Cooking is huge to me. It makes up a lot of my work and spare time now. Also big into various music scenes, which is easy to do here in Chicago.
Beyond that an avid reader, typically philosophy, cooking, mythology, and a smattering of fiction.
Also an avid bike rider, I spend quite a bit of time on one every day.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a stud in the kitchen, can help anyone learn how to cook, or just drop a meal on them to enjoy.
I'm a huge fan of my bike, own a few, and would be more than happy to take anyone for a ride around the city of Chicago. Really get to see parts of the city that don't fall on your tourist guides.
