About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It's top secret.

ABOUT ME

Open-minded, fun, curious (in a good way), I always want to learn new things, meet new people, share great moments...Just trying to make the most of life in general !
I'm half-French, half-Welsh, so in a few words, I like good food, going out, drinking beer, but I also enjoy cocooning from time to time !

PHILOSOPHY

My big motto is "Life is what you make it". It pretty much describes my way of life...
Firm believer in karma.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can't host, so I'll participate by being the best surfer possible...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even though I registered back in 2012, I'm completely new to the concept...Never been a host nor a guest ! But I'm working on changing that as soon as possible, as I've always thought that couchsurfing is a great concept...

Interests

Obviously I love traveling, and I won't stop anytime soon. It's vital for me as I'm all for discovering new cultures and meeting new people, it's true when they say that traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. I have to say, many people do not understand that way of life and I constantly have to deal with people telling me that I should settle down, find a job and stop "trying to escape from reality". What they don't understand is that I don't have the same reality as they do. Being part of the CS community is so enriching and relieving in a way, because I realize that there's a lot of you out there who agree with me on that point !
Anyway, back to my interests...I am a big fan of baking, if one day I decide on settling down somewhere (which would please some of my relatives), I'd love to open my very own tea room with loads of scrumptious home-made cakes !

What else...music is a very big part of my everyday life, I love going to concerts and festivals; I used to play the drums in a band and I've worked for different music/film festivals.
I have a degree in...how to explain this...roughly, organizing cultural events...but I also have a degree in audiovisual production. So I'm a big cinephile too !

Oh, and I'm a rugby fan. Welsh rugby of course :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The list would be wayyyy too long ! I love all sorts of movies, with a big plus for British ones, I enjoy many different types of music from hip-hop to indie rock to jazz to soul music...You get the idea. As for books, I'd say my favorite author is Armistead Maupin (Tales of the City, LOVE those books).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Again, I'd say the most amazing things I've done or seen were part of my travels: New Zealand (the whole country is amazing), going on a 4-day trip on a boat and snorkeling/scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, spending Christmas in the middle of the Bolivian desert and Uyuni Salt Flat, trekking in Patagonia....Now I'll stop bragging :)

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo
