About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live and let live.
ABOUT ME
It didn't take me long to realize that what I enjoyed was the the freedom that comes with travel and exchange of culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Just making sure that I live a life worth telling about when I'm old.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host in Korea, then traveled, I settled in Uganda for 2 years with the drive to share what I have learned, and now I am back in my hometown.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed a few times and I've hosted. Every experience has been awesome. I hear stories that keep me motivated to explore the world and learn about different cultures. I have been inspired to try things that I would never have thought to try unless I'd couch surfed. A simple meeting for dinner or coffee can lead to a new friend for life or an introduction to a new class or helping a person in need. Couch surfing has been very helpful in making the connections that we have with others around the world more visible.
Interests
Eating, drinking, typical tourist-y things, roaming the streets, foosball, violent card games, knitting, guitar, running, and learning at least one new thing every day.
I've picked up some craft making recently.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read at least 4 children's books a week for work. It's like a trip back to my childhood everyday when I read with my students. Love it!
As for movies, I am not up-to-date due to my lack of TV and movie theater near me. I love Forrest Gump and The Lion King. They are two classics I can't tire of.
Music is tough to explain for me because I just enjoy setting my ITunes on shuffle and be pleasantly surprised by what comes on. There's days I feel like rocking out, others when I'm homesick and I need my rancheras, and then there's day when a smooth jam plays in the background during my reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to the steppe grassland in Mongolia then hitchhiked to get out of the bitter cold winds.
Teach, Learn, Share
As far as knowledge exchange goes, I may not be an expert at anything really but I can be that friendly face to chat with, I can show you good hospitality, and be your partner in whatever adventure strikes your mood.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good salsa with a side of travel stories. I help wash dishes too.
