About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Eating my way around the world, one country at a time :)
My next trips are to Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Denmark then off to South America!
ABOUT ME
Hey, I'm Nessa! I'm from San Francisco, CA and I frequently travel solo. I'm a native of San Francisco and used to work in tourism so I would be happy to give you tips about SF and even meet up to show you around if you're ever in the neighborhood.
When I'm traveling I love trying new foods, checking out museums, sightseeing, trekking, taking photos, and meeting new people. I usually travel alone so it makes meeting new people even more fun! I'm super chill and down for whatever as long as it's fun!
PHILOSOPHY
Traveling is about the people you meet as much as it the places you visit and foods you try. I'm on Couchsurfing to meet locals and to make new friends. Who knows the place better than the locals?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people! I love networking and connecting with like minded people. The travel community is such an awesome group. I love sharing experiences and stories.
Interests
I love traveling, photography, hiking, music, film, and food. I get to really enjoy my hobbies to the max when I'm on the road. My party trick is karaoke. I'm always down for karaoke!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Soooo many! One of the top experiences would be choosing to study abroad in Morocco! Originally, I planned to study in Lebanon but my university cancelled the program for safety reasons so I ended up going to Morocco. It's a beautiful country with amazing people and culture. Everyone should visit Morocco!
I traveled down to the Sahara by myself and spent 3 days there. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Sleeping beneath a sky full of stars was just breathtaking and the colors of the sand dunes during sunrise/sunset was unforgettable. Chilling in a tent and smoking shisha and listening to modern Amazigh music played by our guides added to the experience.
Some others: ziplining in the jungle in Laos, caving and motorbike loops in Vietnam, hiking down and up the Grand Canyon, backpacking solo
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach you some Cantonese and English :) We learn so much from listening so meeting other people and hearing their stories/experiences is always a highlight in my travels.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good time! I'm always down for adventures whether it's food adventures, trekking, or exploring. I'm a very considerate person so I'll definitely clean up after myself. I'm easy to get along with and if you host me I'll buy you rounds of drinks as a thank you!
