About Me
CURRENT MISSION
life is short, eat and love as much as possible (:
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Mavis from a beautiful little country called Singapore. For the past two years, I've been travelling to many places in Asia and Europe. I haven't tried backpacking before but I would love to do so soon.
I would say that I'm an easygoing and mild-tempered person. I value family ties, friendship, loyalty and trust greatly.
Travelling,to me, is a truly unique and wonderful experience especially with loved ones because I feel that during a trip, you can really learn more about a person, it either makes or breaks a relationship and so far, I'm glad to have found friends that I'd love to be with till we're all old and wrinkly (:
Hopefully I'll be able to meet new people and feel the some way about them too.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem or Seize the Day,
Cherish everyone around you and not take anyone for granted
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am sad to say I can't host anyone yet, so, for now, I'll enjoy being welcomed into the lovely homes of others. In the future, I hope that I'll be able to welcome others into my home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Currently, I have no experience, I hope to gain some in the near future.
Interests
I enjoy:
doodling on blank pages,
capturing moments with film cameras/iphone,
watching the stars, ice-skating,
an occasional drink,
singing imperfectly (especially during karaoke sessions),
creating something from scratch (like cooking, baking, craft making),
travelling the world (even though I am a pretty nervous flyer)
and indulging in different cuisines.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a movie-holic and the list for my favourite movies is pretty long, some of which are Moulin Rouge, My Sassy Girl, A Moment To Remember, Toy Story... etc.
I enjoy reading Sidney Sheldon and Neil Gaiman books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Like in an action movie, I saw a man jump in and out of a huge moving truck because a careless driver forgot to put the parking brake and almost would have caused a major traffic accident. He didn't have the stereotypical image of a superhero but I would say he was a real life superhero, walking away from the scene like nothing happened. I am still amazed till today, just anybody can do something great.
