About Me
Hei,
My name is Vera... I´m a 30 years old medical student from Jena. Before I started studying a couple of years ago, I worked as an paramedic/ professional firefighter. At the moment I am working on my thesis, spending most of the time in the lab.
I like festivals, arts, beeing outside, snow, mountains and some sports. I would describe myself as an outgoing, ambitious, polite, happy and a, sometimes (to) honest person. In my freetime I love to try new things (excepted singing, dancing or sports with balls (I realy suck at this shit :D).
Travelling brought me to the most amazing places, let me meet the most amazing people and in generall broaded my horizon. I think there is nothing more valuable in life than beeing able to see the world and explore all of its beauty. I like learning about local cultures and walking off the beaten path, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends.
I prefer nature over city's, beer over wine, simple homestays over luxury resorts and people staying up for their own opinion.
Also I'm vegetarian, but I´m not trying to convince anyone :)
PHILOSOPHY
Do good - recive good
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my opinion, just staying in a hotel, eating at the buffet and having coctails every night, won´t show you the real face of a country. Also just hopping from one sightseeing spot to the next one isn´t my cup od tea. I would rather spend an evening in the company of local people.
Of course, I want to give something back, so whenever you in Jena and need some advices or company during your stay, just let me know :)
