Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am CS urfing because I have lived in Asia for five years. Also I heve visited California ,Malaysia and Chile. Where I have relatives and friends. Since I have a place of my own again I like to meet new people. Sharing our experiences and stories. It helps me to see my own country in a different way. In an inexplicable way I feel sometimes more connected to foreigners as to my own people.
Maybe it has something to do with my family history. The fathers and grandfathers were sailormen. Although my own father had a coaster with what he sailed trough the whole Europe. I 've heard many stories about Sweden , England and France. That s why I like to meet other people still.

Interests

My interests in daily life. When de work is done I like to relax a bit and then take the bike and visit a park or a terrace together with a friend. I like watching movies. Reading a good book. But the most I like to talk for hours and hours with my best friends. I like cooking and eating. I like having fun with a lot of laughter.
When everything is in a good balance social - emotionally I like also a day alone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 30 and pregnant I moved to Thailand. While delivering my son there and raising him up it was a wonderful experience to do this in Thailand. People are so nice for little children.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences with other cultures. But I can show them about the differences within cultures in the netherlands. I can tell them about the history of the country.
I can take them by bike to the most idyllic historical parts of the city and countryside also.
