ABOUT ME

I am an easy-going gal who loves to travel. I enjoy having random things happen, like the time I was hitchhiking with a friend in Newfoundland, Canada, and was picked up by this guy who turned out to be the veterinarian for the province. Long story short, he got us on the boat to help the scientists study the birds trying to link their migration to the Avian Flu. We ended up pretending to be scientists, and were on the news later that week in a feature story about 'fighting the flu pandemic'.

Interests

I don't consider myself 'sporty' but I enjoy swimming, cycling, hiking, canoeing; basically the outdoorsy sports. I enjoy watching movies, everything from Hollywood blockbusters to independent and foreign films.

I love talking with people about where they're from, where they've been, etc. with the intent of truly understanding a person and their culture.
