About Me
BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST: READ THROUGH THE WHOLE PAGE, ESPECIALLY THE HOUSE SECTION.
CURRENT MISSION
listen to my little finger, unite the opposites
ABOUT ME
A nomad (or traveller, as you wish) both in body and mind.
I love to read, often listen to music, mountains and snow fascinate me, the sea calms me. Actually so many things that I can't tell all of them.
Meeting people, culture, hang out, chat, parties...in short, digging out life.
Everyone has stories to tell and it's always interesting and enriching to listen to them.
And, a good natural wine might be around the corner.
PHILOSOPHY
Get lost in the maze of life
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always try to bring a smile and some good vibes :)
Interests
There are so many things to be interested in. From nature, art, literature, outdoor sports, cuisine and natural wines. Recently i love diving.
I am a neuroscientist and I lead a team of about 10 researchers. Our main focus is learning, decision-making and metacognition, we use neuroimaging (fMRI, a big magnet to scan brain activity) and computational models.
Whenever I can (time, money...) I wander somewhere. It brings balance, energy and change to be in harmony with myself and the world. Dreaming.
Diving, nature, photography, and more.
Music, Movies, and Books
Reading has always been part of my life, since as a kid I never had a TV.
Mostly novels, travel books, philosophy essays, classic literature, thrillers. But in the end each book as its own soul to discover. Difficult to chose among the panoply (Bouvier; Celine; Sartre; Kerouac; Ammaniti; Hesse; Murakami; Huxley; N. Lewis..and so on).
About music. A lot of electronic music, classical music from around the world, some old school Hip Hop. Western classical, rock, sufi, contemporary piano, blues, sitar and tabla, rock'n'roll, indie, world music. Depends on the mood and many things :)
Movies: Tarkovsky, the thin red line, amelie, almost everything from Kubrick, Hitchcock, and the Japanese masters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with pink dolphins in a river in the amazon, having a great natural wine with good friends, horse-trekking in the remote mountains of Lesotho, sleeping in a lamasery in a forgotten place in the Himalayas, diving and seeing the most colorful tiny amazing critters.
