About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find something captivating and pursue it

PHILOSOPHY

Apart from the usual social-fabric-family stuff, my current preoccupation is with the maths involved in neuronal communication, which probably sounds a bit out there, but it's not really. To objectify my personal philosophy: I don't agree with Churchill's oft quoted statement about 'Democracy being the least bad form of government'. Power is something to be constantly reflected upon and structures of power something to generally be resisted. Handy for discussion with marxists ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Sync (Strogatz), Wind, Sand & Stars (A de Saint-Exupery), Earth Sea + The Dispossessed (Ursula Le Guin), etc.
Music: most things, preferably friends bands and lesser promo'd stuff, with some reflection in them. Bit of blues always good, but then so is Dubstep depending on the context.
Film: Punishment Park (Watkins), Red Psalm (Jancsó), Road + Scum (Alan Clarke)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A dole officer go off on a ranting 'lesson' to a mother with her two babies. There are many things that are wonderful, one thing that comes to mind is looking at the milky way from the southern hemisphere is pretty humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share

Do some gardening to grow own food. Basic DIY skills ('basic' is subjective of course...I can't put a roof on-yet)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, France, Grenada, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Malta, Peru, United Kingdom
