CURRENT MISSION
To master the art of inspiring and empowering others
ABOUT ME
I'm an introvert by nature, though you wouldn't know it if I'm having a good conversation. I'm a strange balance of caveman, wordsmith, and philosopher. I'm kind of aloof when I'm first meeting and getting to know someone, though I'm quick to smile and always open and clear about how I feel and what I'm thinking. People who are genuine find my presence calming. My friends often complain about getting so relaxed that they get sleepy when they're around me lol. People who aren't genuine find my presence very intimidating and have a hard time getting comfortable around me.
I've traveled to 19 different countries so far, served in the middle east as a U.S. Marine, and experienced enough high and lows in life to get as lost in memories as a 60yo man. After having so many reality-bending experiences, it takes something extreme for me to get angry or stressed about anything. I just want to be a profoundly positive influence on the people around me, make great money doing what I enjoy, create lasting love, and enjoy my circle of amazing friends.
PHILOSOPHY
"It is much easier to follow a defined path to promised bliss than to walk into the dark forest of self-discovery where the path has not been trod ahead...where one must learn to navigate a personal journey to a destination befitting of his own experience in life; no torch to guide the way, no promises upon arrival."
- Jeff Short
âWhen you are inspired by some great purpose,
some extraordinary project,
all your thoughts break their bonds;
your mind transcends limitations,
your consciousness expands in every direction,
and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world.
Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive,
and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far
than you ever dreamed yourself to be.â
~ Patanjali
"Until a person can say deeply and honestly, "I am what I am, who I am, and where I am today because of the choices I made yesterday," that person cannot say, "I choose otherwise."
~ Stephen R. Covey
"The greatest gift that you could ever give to another is your own happiness, for when you are in a state of joy, happiness, or appreciation, you are fully connected to the Stream of pure, positive Source Energy that is truly who you are. And when you are in that state of connection, anything or anyone that you are holding as your object of attention benefits from your attention."
~ Esther Hicks
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." ~ Albert Einstein
"He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words." ~ Eli Hubbard
"Developing a new relationship is a process of discovering the unique thoughts, feelings, perspectives, and experiences that are inspired by the unique chemistry between two different people. A relationship is a process of DISCOVERING your compatibility with someone. It's not meant to be a scripted ritual that is governed by the norms of one's culture, expectations of romantic fulfillment, or what others will think. Open your mind and explore a new connection with someone different. You will be amazed at what you learn about yourself and the joy of loving another human being."
~ Michael Verdun
"Don't argue with fools in public. 'Cause people, from a distance, can't tell who is who." ~ Unknown
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I've donated a nice little sum but that's about it so far. And since I'm presently working and traveling overseas, I don't have a couch for anyone to surf at the moment. But when I go back home to Vegas next year, I'll definitely be opening my doors to cool travelers from around the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing was in Frankfurt, Germany for 12 days. Carl, Malwin, and Benno were the best hosts a surfer could ask for. I truly couldn't have had a better experience. I'm really looking forward to hosting them when they visit the states again. I also met with an couchsurfing angel in Peru. The hospitality I've experienced from couchsurfers has been so awesome. It's incredible to me how many amazing people are a part of this network.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Alchemist, Sleight of Mouth, The Holographic Universe, The Tipping Point, Outliers, Social Intelligence, any Wilbur Smith books, almost all Dan Brown books...I can go on and on. I'm a huge bookworm. I've read more than 4,000 books in my lifetime so far.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've experienced so much in my lifetime. I have no idea how to answer this.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm presently writing a book that I genuinely believe will inspire the world. I'm writing about life without the presence of judgment.
"...judgment, in every instance and every time, is destructive to humanity’s progress towards unity. It is the root of all dissension between two or more human beings. We experience the most positivity and love with another human being who does not place moral or quality judgments on ANYTHING that we do in their presence. “I just feel like I can be myself around you” is the phrase that distinguishes the most precious relationships that we have in our lives, and that is because they are entirely free of judgment."
