About Me

Avid traveler, Automotive Engineer & Enthusiast - Yes, I am very much aware of the looming disaster in Climate change; so before you draw out your torches and pitchforks; know that I do in fact actively fight it. Have spent the better half of last year in trying to become a competent German speaker. I'm mostly here for the experiences (at the risk of sounding too Generic).

I have come a long way, since I started my journey in Germany over 2 years ago. Much of the things I've done; and much of the things that I am currently focused on doing are all a result of experiences with some incredibly amazing people, that I've come to meet along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Yes, I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Program at Hochscule (University of applied science, for those of you that don't speak German). However, as a whole I am more committed not only to getting a degree, but to growing as an Engineer overall. And it is with this pursuit that I introduce myself to the concept of Couchsurfing - With the slightly more biased intention of coming together with people that are synonymous with the field of Technology & Engineering.

Interests

I've gotten way more involved in outdoorsy activities, since I have stepped into Germany. Within the first six months year, I took up a project to assemble a bicycle here, which I then rode cross country into Denmark. Riding 150-odd Killometers is by no means an extraordinary feat. What made it special though, is the fact that we actually assembled the bicycle (I call her Penelope) ourselves over the course of 2 months; and also that, we made this journey with little to no knowledge of German or Danish at the time.

Moreover, I have taken up swimming more recently. Schwerin, the place where I was based for the first 15 months of my time here in Germany was blessed with plenty of lakes. So let's just say, things worked out the way they were meant to.

I do trek, but one day-ers mostly. I've been blessed with two incredible guest families in Germany; and it's mostly with them that I set of on such endevours.

And then there are the usuals: Reading, Music, Sports (Motorsports, Combatsports and Football - That's It, really); and yes... I do perspective sketch - Automotive renders.

  • auto racing
  • gastronomy
  • cycle touring
  • automotive
  • cross country cycling
  • amature trekking

Music, Movies, and Books

Good Will Hunting, Moneyball and perhaps.. Snatch are the big ones for me. Then there are the classics: The Godfather trilogy, The Departed, V-for Vendetta....etc. I'm more versatile than you'd think; the occasional chickflicks selton go unseen.
Honestly, I don't know why I said that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rethought the direction of my life in a week and decided to come to germany 3 months later - Sounds pretty amazing to me.
