My name is Nevin Philip, and I love to travel. My biggest passion is traveling the world and experiencing new adventures and cultures. I live for it.

To be honest with you: my passion for travel came out of during my teenage years.

I’ve always traveled a bit around Kerala,India with my friends . I enjoyed it but I always looked at those trips like basic holidays, like the one everyone does to escape from their boring life so I always had a very distort vision on how traveling really looks like. In fact, as a teen, I always looked at journeys simply as a way to relax and switch off.

The turning point came in 2022 when I decided to take my very first solo trip. The idea of leaving alone really came out of nowhere but, since that at that time I was really shy I felt the need to boost my life and so I thought that doing something that was frightening me it might really shake me up.

From that point on my love for journeys just grew exponentially, every adventure and every day more and more. And my mind also started changing.By travelling I discovered I don’t want to live a life I don’t enjoy and just escaping it doing some small holidays every so often. Rather, I want my everyday life to be majestic, and I’m trying hard for it.

So backpack on my back, slow vehicle (walk is the best), little money in the pocket and big open-heart and arms: this is my travel style.

Couchsurfing is a global community of travelers and locals who love to meet new folks from different walks of life. I can host travelers visiting my city or stay with a local while visiting a new destination. The biggest advantage of Couchsurfing is to meet locals. By inviting me for free into their home, they are generally expecting more than just exchanging a few words at my arrival. Talking with my hosts, getting to know them will teach me more about the country I travelled to than any tour I might join
