ABOUT ME

I am a passionate person who is always on the go. I am dedicated to social justice and making the world a better place. I love teaching because learn everyday and never have to grow up. I have been traveling with my family since I was 8 days old and want to start traveling on my own.

PHILOSOPHY

In the great timeline of earth our lives our but a tiny second. What will you do to make that second meaningful? Will you follow the current trend in contributing to destruction of the earth and the social inequalities in today's society? Will you blindly do what your teachers, governments, media, and religions tell you? Will you try to fulfill you life with meaningless consumer goods? Or will you live life to the fullest, question everything, and work everyday to sustain this earth and make it a more just place? I do the latter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend told me about couchsurfing two years ago. I joined but quickly forgot about it. It wasn't until I went to Montreal in Aug 08 that I started connecting with people. I had a great time in Montreal because of the people I met through couchsurfing. Until I can travel again next summer I hope to host many interesting people from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen mostly to rock and some rap, mostly not the stuff played on the radio.
I love foreign films. Pedro Almovdivar is my favorite foriegn director. I also like documentaries and dumb American comedies.
I love to read just about everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thought I had seen a lot until I was in the West Bank last summer. I sat drinking tea and laughing with a woman in the Dheisheh refugee came. This woman had been shot by soldiers at the age of 15, her husband had been in jail without charges for most of their adult life, and nephew had died a slow painful death from bullet wounds. I listened to her and hoped to one day have a sliver of the dignity and resiliency this woman possessed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to knit and how do basic swing dancing.

I want to to learn pretty much everything. I want to learn vegetarian cooking. I want to get better at salsa dancing and I want someone to practice speaking Spanish with.
