ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly outgoing 28 year old from the detroit area- I'm starting a new adventure in my life and have taken a teaching job in the Bronx- I love to travel but life hasn't made time for me to do that much as of yet but hopefully that will change. I enjoy meeting new people with different outlooks on life and learn something from everyone I meet.. (sometimes good and sometimes bad. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Take life as it comes... Try new things every so often to stretch my comfort zone. To be open to new people and new possibilities. I've gone skydiving and now have taken a job in a new and unfamiliar place both of these definately tested my comfort zone.

I just moved to New York in August (2007) but I love this city so far and am excited to show people around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm fairly new to Couchsurfing, but I've surfed in Brooklyn, and stayed on friend's couches in Boston, Philly, and Miami.

Interests

Friends, Family and work(I spend a good deal of time checking papers woo hoo.) I'm a runner and have completed 4 marathons.(Soon to be 4- Hyannis marathon in February) I hope to do New York AND Boston sometime within the next few years... I also enjoy hiking- especially places I can get to by train from Manhattan.

Books-The Life of Pi, The Kite Runner, Time Traveler's Wife, Harry Potter, Into Thin Air(Jon Krakauer), the Lorax and The Non-runner's Marathon Trainer.
TV-(Yes, I enjoy watching tv. Sue me) Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Boston Legal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been skydiving and have completed a couple of marathons. My friends and I also completed an A-Z bar tour that took a whole summer of travel.
