About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Break through!

ABOUT ME

Me? Yikes! I mostly just like figuring out how things work.

PHILOSOPHY

People are genetic replicas of that one, trans-dimensional, trans-linguistic, constantly spreading urge; the Fibonacci spiral of experience through which memory unfurls the images we record and the stories we hear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spreading the good news of CS. I also finally have a place suitable for hosting, so I'm looking forward to paying back into the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Rode bikes through downtown LA with Alex, hiked around waterfalls with some great friends in Portland, and experienced probably the greatest weather of my life in Seattle.

Interests

Trying to inter-relate Joyce, Campbell, Bly, McKenna, Watts and all the back-steppers and people-gazers. I like em!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Rushmore, City of Lost Children, Amelie, Rosemary's Baby, My Life as A Dog, City of God, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, American Beauty -- Bergman, Kubrick, Fellini, Coen Brothers, P.T. Anderson, ya know, all those poly-math story-tellers.

Music: Dilute, Sigur Ros, Crooked Fingers, Don Caballero, Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, Built to Spill, Radar Brothers, Explosions in The Sky, Mogwai, Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Sonny Rollins, Ella Fitzgerald.

Authors: Alan Watts, Robert Bly, James Joyce, Joseph Campbell, Richard Dawkins, g[o]d, Plato, Rousseau, Bacon, Sarte, Nabokov -- But, really...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood atop the highest point in Big Bend, hopped into the Rio Grande, climbed on top of a sky-scraper in Houston, took a very warm shower in Portland, slid in black plastic bags down snow banks in Colorado, got completely lost in LA, New York, DC and Rome -- But I wouldn't mind a second chance at most of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach guitar lessons, or a crash course in hummus cousine. Better yet, let's fill in what we don't know.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In
