have 3 teens and have always loved to travel. now that they are almost all out of school i want to do alot more traveling....looking to find a travel parter who enjoys different cuisines, different cultures etc. Im originally from anchorage alaska...live there 18 years but i currently live in columbia sc...have been here the last 16 years....i currently am unemployed so my schedule is pretty open...hoping to take a trip with some of my tax money sometime in march ....still trying to decide...i may go solo but would love to meet someone with the same likes as me who is also planning on going solo and might wanna try to plan something together. Im a very down to earth person, kind of shy for the most part but can open up with the right person...Im more of a 1 on 1 person....trying to be more social but i love genuine people with a kind heart who are adventurous and who also have a love for traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

just looking to see if i could possibly meet any friends who have some of the same interests as me and possibly plan a trip together to visit a country for a week or two. The trip i am planning for march is to visit bangkok thailand and hopefully see a few small cities within thailand...from there i will travel to mumbai india for a few days and then bangalore india, from there i would like to go to france italy and then rome italy and then back home...i hope to meet families or people who can show me some of the culture of the small towns and genuine cuisine such as street vendors and little cafes with good food! traveling, cooking, shooting pool, fishing, amusement parks, scenery, the outdoors, trying different foods, watching football, boxing and track and field. Some countries i would like to visit are thailand, taiwan, cambodia, vietnam, tropical locations, possibly austrailia one day...im a foodie so i would love to experience the food markets and fish markets, etc...to take a little boat on the water, possibly visit a rainforest or a small town....i just love to explore and i believe the sky is the limit!
