About Me

My name is Ngan. I'm living in Haiphong city, 1.5 hours from Hanoi, Vietnam.

I'm a nature person. I luckily had chance to live by the beach for the last 5 years (and am now looking for a new seaside place to settle). I love the hiking and road-tripping in the mountains too.

I also enjoy meeting new people and exploring different culture. As a university student, I joined Hanoikids volunteer club and took foreign visitors around Hanoi (for free). It was great and inspiring to meet travellers all over the world, exploring my city with them and listen to their stories, just like a different way of travelling.

I work in Community Development field in Vietnam and have travelled to many far and foremost areas in my country for work, so hope that I could share some interesting stories about local life in those areas to anyone interested.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In every place I travel to, I want to see how locals live, work and enjoy their lives. For me, the best way to see a city is through the eyes of people who live there and love it. Therefore, I want to utilize CS to learn and enjoy the beauty of every place I’ve been to, as well as share the love for where I live with people coming to my city.
