About Me

Hi! My name is Le Xuan and I'm a 21-year-old medical student from Warsaw :) Besides studying, I also work as an English lecturer and I am a member of European Medical Student Association (EMSA) where I organize movie evenings. I'm a passionate cinephile, avid (indoors yet) mountain climber and music/books/art enthusiast. Last but not least, I'm a keen traveler and I love meeting new people from different parts of the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel and meet new people :) I would be also glad to host other people here in Warsaw!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ok, so this is a memoir I wrote 2 years ago:
"Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days in my life as I received this delicious gift [a box of chocolate] from a patient I nursed for the past week. She was leaving the hospital yesterday and as she was walking out of the department, she approached me to thank me for my taking care of her and asked me to accept this little treat. I was completely taken by surprise as it never crossed my mind that this would ever happen. I'm neither a doctor nor a nurse, I'm a mere medical student interning. All I did was change her band aids, help her eat and chat with her a little bit every day. But apparently those little things I did made an impact on her time spent in the hospital which I clearly was not aware of. This is a life lesson for me and I hope for everybody else as well - treat people kindly, spread love and laughter and someday, at the least expected moment, it will all come back to you."
