About Me

I'm a super honest and straightforward person. I love to be kind to people around and help them as much as I can. Most of the time, you may see me smile way too much. That is the reason why I love to hang out with humorous people a lot. Education, Chemistry and Environment are my three main interests which I want to somehow fit in my career.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that traveling helps me the most to learn about myself and the world. Traveling for me is not only about checking out all the popular places in the country. For me, it's all about the people. I may forget some places that I have been to, but I never forget the people that I talk to, never forget their stories, never forget the chance that they give me to reflect about myself, never forget to believe in the good parts in people. I truly treasure every moment of it.

Couchsurfing is like the life-saver for me, to be honest. I have just graduated from college and this August, I will make a big trip traveling around for a year mostly in New Zealand, Southern Asia, Middle East and finally Northern Europe. And you guys in Couchsurfing really bring the world to me. I really can't wait to hear about your stories and tell you mine as well :)

Interests

My biggest interest is education. I'm still confused about my career but I'm pretty sure that it needs to be related to education. I have a strong feeling that my main responsibility in this life is to do some good things for the education system in Vietnam. For me, education is the main reason of mostly every problems that Vietnamese people are facing nowsaday.

My second biggest one is to talk to people (a true extrovert haha). Actually, I spend lots of my time joining different social organizations and doing volunteer works. The main purposes are not only to do some beneficial things for the local society but also to talk to people and learn new things from them. For me, not learning new things every day is a kind of suffering.

However, I also use lots of time to read books. My goal is to read at least 2 books per week. This just started in a strict way one month ago though after I realized the importance of general knowledge in my traveling and self-improvement plans.

I love teaching, generally doing anything that I feel like beneficial for other people. My casual source of happiness is to see my students grow up in their studies, their thoughts about things and also their appreciations for the knowledge that I provide to them.

Love nerdy things (kinda like doing much research in questions that I raised every day). You can tell through my Chemistry major, right :)

Music, Movies, and Books

- About music: What I usually do is to search on the top billboard list and listen to most of the songs in top 100. If I really like any songs, I will probably repeat them on and on until I get tired of them and will never want to hear them again haha. That's kinda weird of me!

- Movies: mostly short movie, not TV shows (except for Friends). My favorites are Pride and Prejudice, The Shawshank Redemption, I'm Sham,..., generally whatever could leave a meaningful lessons afterwards.

- Books: the topic I read a lot is about self-study, traveling and education-related books. The very favorite one is "what I wish I knew when I was 20", "Talking to Gods", "The Alchemist". Those really help to shape me to be who I am right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That was the first time I traveled by myself. By that time, I have never thought that I would be capable of traveling without going with people I knew before. But after that trip going to the Philippines, I realize that all the most spontaneous and exciting experiences will come whenever you are at the readiest state. When there is only me, I need to plan everything, make big effort to make friends along the way, have more chances to talk to the locals. Those were truly my most enjoyable parts of the trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories I think. I love to share my stories to any hosts that I'm lucky to interact with. I'm truly looking forward to hear your stories as well.
