About Me

----------------Due to safety and security reasons, I can only host WOMEN for now. ----------
A wide-eyed kid marvelling at world's wonders!
As the first person in my family to attend college, I feel fortunate to have earned a full-ride scholarship to study French Literature in the United States. This opportunity nourished my passion for learning and opened up new horizons for me. After graduation, I was dedicated to giving back by teaching SAT and admissions essay writing to high school students, helping them achieve their academic dreams. Recently, I embarked on a new adventure by moving to Vancouver, Canada, where I am embracing the opportunity to build a life and establish roots.

Currently, I am furthering my education by studying Computer Science at Douglas College, while working part-time as a hostess at a local restaurant. This unique combination of experiences has shaped me into a curious, compassionate, and driven individual, eager to continue learning and growing as I navigate through life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to truly experience a new place is by connecting with local people who can share their culture, traditions, and stories. I am eager to learn from others and immerse myself in different perspectives, creating meaningful connections and lifelong friendships along the way. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to go beyond the typical tourist experience and to be a part of a global community that values kindness, generosity, and cultural exchange. I am excited to be a part of this vibrant network and look forward to contributing to it by hosting fellow travelers in the future.

Interests

I am passionate about Tibetan Buddhism, yoga, and meditation, as they have helped me cultivate inner peace and self-awareness. Through these practices, I am continuously exploring the human experience and deepening my understanding of mindfulness and personal growth. I enjoy sharing the benefits of yoga and meditation as an instructor, guiding others on their journeys toward well-being.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the instrument handpan and I typically listen to instrumental/ classical music.
My favorite film of all time is Schindler's List. Its soundtrack can also be considered a masterpiece.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable and rewarding experiences was writing a short play that I had the opportunity to see performed on stage. The magic of this moment was amplified when, during the performance, the audience erupted into laughter at one of my lines and continued to laugh for three minutes straight. Witnessing the genuine joy and amusement my writing brought to others was a priceless and golden moment that I will always cherish.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I am respectful, tidy, and considerate of my host's needs and preferences. I am always up for a good conversation and love to share stories about my travels, life experiences, and interests. I enjoy learning about local customs and traditions, and I'm more than happy to participate in any cultural activities or events that my hosts might recommend.

In addition, I would be thrilled to cook a meal for my hosts as a token of my appreciation or to teach them some of my favorite recipes from my home country.

I believe in the importance of giving back to the Couchsurfing community, and I'm always ready to help out with any household chores or tasks that my hosts might need assistance with during my stay. I am also more than happy to share my skills and knowledge in areas such as photography, technology, or yoga if my hosts are interested.
