About Me

Greetings, I am Niamh, an Irish pixie chick, who has a fond appreciation for human connection and the magic sincere engagements with other can elicit. My university course psychology, concerns the study of the human mind and how it guides behaviour. Thus, I think this amplifies my appreciation for true interaction with people. I enjoy singing, getting creative with language, travelling, dancing with my toroflux, conversing, and most of finding myself in the company of individuals with an open mind, an appreciation for weirdness and a conscientiousness towards others and the earth surrounding them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sincere connection with individuals breeds not only novel experience, but special experiences, which I think couch surfing facilitates. It appears to be a wonderful platform for like-minded individuals to connect and so this concept fascinates me greatly.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music ranges from Eva Cassidy, Laura Marling, Florence and the Machine, Marika Hackman to Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Neil Young to the XX, Bonobo, Shlomo, Hypnagog. As far as film is concerned, a movie which ingrained deep fascination in me would be Darran Aronofsky's depiction of the Black Swan. For books, well Alice in Wonderland provides the platform upon which my identity and social/ cultural understanding of the world has been built.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have fallen in love with my dear friends in Australia. They all contribute something so sincere, distinctive and remarkable to my soul, that to have been in a position to receive such love is amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

With an open mind indeed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some delicious vegan recipes to cultivate a wonderful food experience, my whacky alternative dance moves as facilitated by my toroflux, songs & poems, but mostly what I can share is my positivity and enthusiasm for the world.
