Overview
About Me
I'm an uncomplicated and sociable person always up for spontaneous fun. I like discussing society, politics or the human mind over a glass of wine or to go out for drinks and dance. I enjoy reading, playing football and basketball, try to meditate and do yoga once in while.
I studied Development Economics. Now, after having worked at the WHO in Lesotho for some time, I currently work in Bonn as Development Economist. Just moved to a new flat and now have a comfy couch to share.
I've received quite some unpersonal requests lately. To turn that around, maybe you could mention a book in your request, somehow. Maybe the one that you're currently reading or one that has a special meaning to you..
Please be aware that I live in Bonn, not in Cologne.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met great people while couchsurfing on my hitchhiking trip from Cologne to Budapest via Nuremberg, Prague and Vienna. In Lesotho, I mainly hosted other surfers and met a lot of great people from all over the world.
Interests
I very much enjoy travelling, reading great books, playing football and board games and go out for drinks. My best friend and I are currently trying to explore yoga and I'm currently digging into ideas of social and ecological change.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of different types of music but I've got a tendency towards soul, hiphop and jazzy types of songs.
Some of my favorite books are Hermann Hesse's "Narcissus and Goldmund" and Haruki Murakami's "Kafka by the shore". I really like hearing about books that have touched my friends and people I meet.
Wes Anderson movies are great fun. So is Call me by your Name by Luca Guadagnino
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching a football match between neighbor schools in Ghana with the whole village cheering for both teams and ecstatically conquering the pitch after the goal
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to pick up some phrases of your language and will raise you some German expressions in exchange. But maybe you could also share some yoga or meditation practices, your favorite books, stories of the politics and society of where you're from and what you've learnt in your life.
