Hi! I'm Nic. I grew up in South Africa, and immigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 2017, however currently living a nomadic life.
I am a passionate Bachata dancer, I enjoy travelling to dance, going to festivals all over the world.
When I am not dancing I pay a close mind to my welness, physical, mental, and emotional, staying fit, active, connected and engaged.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of being a host in my own city. I find you can actually learn a lot about it from visitors sharing different perspectives.
Also, realistically, travelling is expensive this is cheaper, and I like the idea of being able to give back to the travel community and host someone else travelling on a budget.

Interests

Over and above normal T.V/movies/books, I enjoy staying active, training, dancing, or playing around with some acro yoga.
I am a latin dancer, mainly Bachata, but a bit of Salsa and Kizomba.
I enjoy deep, meaningful, philosophical, or conscious conversations but also enjoy chilled hangs and some alone time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a very wide variety of music, but mainlt Latin music, because of the dancing.
Personal development books, Id recommend anything with Brené Browns name on it. Also A song of Ice and Fire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I unlocked my press handstand and also standing Hand-to-hand. (Happy to explain what those are) I was pretty happy about that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught dance in the past, happy to teach anyone that wants to learn. I have also done wellness coaching and can help with exercise or nutrition guidance. I can also play with some acro yoga. I am happy to teach or share anything I knowwith anyone who is interested.
