High school teacher with the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy. Luckily, it's a good combination, and my students make me laugh every day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some amazing people and almost always have a funny story to tell after our shenanigans. I've also stayed with several very courteous hosts when traveling in Italy - couldn't do the trips without them and will forever be grateful for their hospitality. I love the idea of opening up your home to fellow travelers, and I'm glad I'm clearly not the only one :)

Good beer, live music, anything Italian, inappropriate jokes, and naps. Mostly the naps. I sleep more than any person I know. No judging.

Books - A Clockwork Orange, HP, Wicked, Choke, anything Edgar Allan Poe, anything Dan Brown (guilty pleasure)

Movies - Interview with a Vampire, Gone with the Wind, Batman, Heathers, Shag, Cruel Intentions, Elf

Also a big fan of HBO/Showtime series like Game of Thrones, True Blood, and The Borgias

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've watched the sun rise over the Mediterranean. I've stood where Julius Caesar stood. I've been taken down a mountain in a bright orange body bag zipped up to my head. I've ridden an elephant and pet tigers in their cage. I've sat in the tea houses of Hangzhou and marveled at the Great Wall. I've jumped from a perfectly good airplane and willingly climbed into a shark cage. And I've laughed. A lot.

Every summer I tell myself I'll practice the piano and become fluent in Italian. Still working on that.
