I am Brazilian by birth, got adopted as a baby and then grew up in Germany. I lived here all my life but I like to find my roots so I better understand who I actually am!
That's why I go to Brazil and travel around!
I like to meet friendly poeple who are funny, like music and sports and are willing to share the Brazilian culture with me!
I am learning Portuguese but I am not fluent yet. I understand more than I speak :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, I want to meet the "true" Brazil, not the tourist version of it. Hence I also do not do the normal tourist stuff, I'd rather get in contact with people and have a conversation about their life.

Interests

I love music, it is my life. I am a guitarist and a singer, so I like making music, listening to it, especially at concerts!
Art is an interest of mine, too (after all, I studied it for quite some time, without graduating, though)!
I also like doing sports, my love is for Capoeira!!! And I when I travel I want to train with other groups to learn different moves and styles. Capoeira is global and connects!

When I read, I mostly read science, Astrophysics for example.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Mainly Heavy Metal, 70's Prog rock and classical music, especially written for the guitar. But I also like Jazz, traditional Celtic music and world music from all around the world. Recently I fell in love with music from Brazil, like Choro and Bossa Nova and I want to learn more about it!
Some of my favourite bands/ musicians are Pain of Salvation, Nevermore, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Erykah Badu, Portishead, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, Baden Powell, Yamandu Costa, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Lauro...

Movies:
Monty Python's Life or Brian, Austin Powers, Hot Fuzz, The Avengers, Indiana Jones, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo
I really love British Sci-Fi series like Doctor Who and Torchwood but also Futurama and Stargate. Besides that I love US series like the Simpsons of course and Southpark!
I loved Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, as well as the original series by Carl Sagan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played an European tour in 2012, we played Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Switzerland. As a musician driving in a night liner for the first time, that was a dream come true!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some German, or English for beginners, and since I actually am a guitar teacher, I can show you how to play the guitar of course!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope I can contribute to getting Brazil and Germany together in some way or another. I like to cook (beware I am a vegan), I do the dishes and I would pay my share on food. I also can play some guitar for you if you wish.
