About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a twenty-two. I love Florida! I've mostly lived there, except for two years in Portland, Oregon and short stints elsewhere. I go New College of Florida, a public liberal arts school with 800 students and no grades. I spend the bulk of my time studying and working at the cafe on campus, otherwise am acting goofy or playing pool.
PHILOSOPHY
I am really okay with living just because I'm here. My foundational principles are, more or less, to not lie for no reason or for selfish reasons, to bite the bullet when necessary, and to do my best to see where people are coming from.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel, mostly, but I think I will be hosting more this year, because it looks like I'll be living in a place with an extra bedroom.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed twice in January 2010. It was a really great experience! One night was in Chapel Hill, NC, and was a quick overnight stay. The other time was in Charleston, and our host was great fun. He toured us around, found us funny little pool bar, then showed us great coffee and great food the next day.
Interests
I want to be a researcher in number theory, but also want to learn some physics. I also like to cook vegetarian food, wander around in pretty places, I like wacky local history.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of hip hop, some dancy music. I also like newer jazz, but don't know much about it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I went to Cape Meares, Oregon in June. It was so extremely beautiful! The sea there is somehow both serene and violent, and you look down from this giant cliffs. There is also this fantastic tree that they think got its shape either because of strange placement relative to the wind, or by being intentionally shaped by the natives.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach math! Know what undergrads should know, and some math beyond that. I also am learning a bit of physics on the quantum side.
I'm fairly handy with computers, enough to fix most problems that arise (even have done some soldering and iPhone surgery). I also can program a bit in python.
