SURFERS PLEASE READ - ‘REFERENCES’

I have been often told that I spoil surfers who stay at my home. This is indeed correct, as I consider the people I select to host as friends and part of my family during their stay with me.
It would be therefore appreciated if you, next surfer of my couch. will leave a reference within the 14-day window that the site allows for doing so. This would be a polite gesture which some surfer ‘forgot’. Please, remember that surfers read always the references to a host in the Surfers’ section, and usually not those in the ‘Personal’ section. Your timely reference will be of great help to surfers - and to you who will be the next surfer - to select the next host.
Why am I writing this? Because many references in the ‘Personal’ section are written by surfers I have hosted who have let the 14-day window (to leave their reference) expire; they wrote it afterwards in the ‘Personal’ section. Thus, please take a look at the references surfers wrote for me in both the ‘Surfers’ and ‘Personal’ sections of my profile.

ABOUT ME

I am open minded and interested in meeting people from different cultures, genders, ways of thinking, for real, genuine, honest and transparent friendship. Quality matters over quantity for me, since I was teenager. I am motivated to learn from others and to share experiences I had in my life.
If you really need to classify me in a box, then I am a straight guy. I have to add that no one of my friends (guys, girls, gay, bisex, straight) have any issue when they receive from me big and sincere hugs. Also, I am nudist/naturist (my family and friends know it), and I am nude both at home (when temperature allows) and in the natural environment, usually in spring/summer. However, I am not an extremist and I adapt to the wish to the guest(s) and of the host(s), as I believe in sharing when people feel and not imposing my habits if someone does not feel so.
I love to go to the beach and to skinny dipping, to explore new cities and to dive into different cultures to see how people really live. I love to sing and to play guitar although I am not able to read tabs, and I love to take care of children.
I love to speak deeply and to smile and laugh with people, to look into the eyes when speaking, and to appreciate the small and simple things and details in life. Also, I like to share the space with a friend/mate for working together, eating together, laughing together, and being naked together without barrier and judgements (only if shared; please, note that I am not an exhibitionist). And, last but not least, I am an idealistic person, and I love to help people whenever I have a chance to do so.
Communication is important for me. As host, I prioritize requests from surfers who stay in contact from the time they send a request. This helps me to get to know a bit the person I would potentially inviting into my home. If I investing time to communicate with your host is too much effort, please do not send a couch request but look into booking a hotel/hostel o ask to another host.

PHILOSOPHY

To respect people for what they are; I am open minded with people who have different points of view with respect to thoughts and lifestyles. I think that to know different cultures allows to appreciate the small things that make this life better.
I love to travel, discover and visit new places and to be in the nature. Whenever I have the possibility to do so, I prefer to explore places with not many tourists, in order to enjoy the beauty of the non contaminated nature. I will then take off my clothes as natural habit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a few times, and my first experience as a host was when I lived in Germany. For a month I hosted a guy, also a CouchSurfer, who suddenly did not have a flat contract anymore and needed a place to stay for a while. He became a good friend of mine. Also, I have been the best man of my first host at his wedding with his girlfriend (now wife).
I have been and I am regularly contacted by different people who wish to be hosted; however, due to the intense workload of my job and to multiple work-related travels (mainly scientific congresses and project meetings with collaborators), I am not able to host everyone and not for a long time. Exceptions may be done if a prior knowledge - through regular messaging and video calls - in the period preceding the surfing of my couch.

To share interests, point of views, lifestyles can make people more rich in their soul. Everyone can learn from other people, if they want to; however, I think that only those who really want to learn from others can appreciate the essence of life.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I like to share daily experiences, such as to visit London, the museums, biking around the city, going to the park and visit the natural spot, to prepare food and take care my guests, as a good host would do.
