ABOUT ME

I like to find humor in things. I like to be healthy. I play saxophone and piano and ukulele. I really like meeting new people. I like writing short sentences. I am a sailor, as well. My job is teaching meditation to kids.

PHILOSOPHY

"2 things required to be successful. 1) Domain Expertise and 2) Soft skills

Domain expertise = if you are a doctor you should know where the kidneys are, if you are an architect you should know the difference between the floor and the ceiling, or a chemical engineer know that H2 stands for hydrogen.

Soft skills = ability to handle stress, ability to make decisions, confidence, clarity of thought, ability to communicate etc etc.

You might have fantastic domain expertise, be the best in your field, but if you cannot communicate your knowledge effectively, then what is the point? See you can study for years in your field, but when you have to sit across the table from someone and convince them that you know what you studied for 4 years in 5 minutes, then you need your soft skills.

So both are required. There was a study done at Stanford University where they asked 10 000 extremely successful Stanford graduates how much % do they attribute their success to domain expertise and to soft skills. What do you think was the answer in %?

Ans: Domain = 12,5 % and Soft = 87.5%.

BUT: time, effort and $ spent in developing these 2 skills, it is the opposite. Domain = > 93% and Soft =
