About Me

I'm a recent college graduate from Humboldt State University in California with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. I'm looking to work with others in co-producing knowledge, creative projects, work, and fun.

The rest of the bio says the other good details, repeating it here would be redundant :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I enjoy meeting others--exchanging knowledge, learning, and exploring. I'm hoping to inspire others while also being inspired. I'm exploring what folks have a passion for while better understanding/refining mine. Im curious about the places that highlight beauty and woes in your area. Im interested in meeting unique people like yourselves.

Interests

I'm traveling around with my 35mm film camera, banjo, and a decent sized backpack. I used to work as a dark room lab and digital media tech, which allowed me to process and develop my rolls of film. I use my prints to make collages with, write on the backs to give as gifts or leave around (in a non littering way...ha).

Playing banjo about 4 months now, still have a lot to learn. I enjoy playing folk like music (broad I know), but specifically love banjo in a folk-punk style.

Love spoken word and poetry. I find the spaces their shared in open vulnerability. This is something I find powerful and much needed.

Usually open for romping around, exploring, hiking, climbing tree's, even if its pissing rain :). I enjoy gardening, so I'm up to play with your dirt (soil, if you're offended) or others!

Anarchist philosophy and praxis interests me greatly. I'm a firm believer in a complete altering of current society, yet I wouldn't call myself a believer in primitivism needing to happen. Green energy is definitely the way we're heading, but green washing capitalism isn't going to work when people, animals, plants & other organic beings are massacred for the cost. Open source, cryptocurrency, alternative economic and political process', time banks, cooperatives, and the likes really tickle my fancy.
