Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To write our own stories in meaningful ways.
ABOUT ME
Our favorite things to do in new cities include but is not limited to: eating new (vegetarian/vegan) foods; drinking booze in fun, random places; spending hours browsing/buying too much in little bookshops; and developing our zombie outbreak survival plan "just in case".
PHILOSOPHY
We don´t really have one exclusively, but our values are fairly defined. We are thoroughly committed to social justice, equality, the boundless enjoyment of being alive and treating people like they are people (and treating animals like they have value, too).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Non-exclusive providers of: couches, floors, stories, dinners, drinks, good recommendations, bad recommendations, superlatives, honesty, opinions, hedonism.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We were couch surfers before finding out about the website. No matter where we lived in Milwaukee, our houses were frequent traveler stops. We hosted a lot of touring bands, friends, friends of friends, and strangers we found hanging around.
Interests
We enjoy reading, eating (we´re vegetarian/vegan), drinking, walking, wandering, small and empty bars, quiet corners, loud plazas, small animals, vibrant social movements, history, cooking, public displays of joy (collective or individual), impressive monuments of human creation, impressive examples of the capacity of nature, places we´ve never seen before, places we never want to see again, places it hurts to leave.

Music, Movies, and Books
Yikes. Five each of what we enjoy:
Movies: Pan´s Labyrinth, Zombie movies, Silence of the Lambs, American Psycho, Children of Men.
Music: the Gossip, the Decemberists, the Coup, Le Tigre, The Rolling Stones
Books: Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Wind-up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, Dead Cities by Mike Davis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participated in community projects at home which directly contributed to making our neighborhoods more just, equitable, safe and empowering places. More details available upon request.
Teach, Learn, Share
Adventures are as much internal as they are external. Traveling is as much a path through history as it is through the present.
