Overview
About Me
I was born and grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe. Moved to Australia for university and have been there for around 10 years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This year my fiance and I have decided to take time off work and to travel around the world. We had friends who enlightened us to couch surfing. Although we have only recently signed up we have been planning to for ages.
Throughout our travels so far which included South Africa, Namibia, South Western and North Western Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Singapore, England, Ireland, France and now Italy we have taken so much from getting local knowledge and seeing places for what they actually are and not just what Tripadvisor suggests!
We think that through Couchsurfing we will learn so much more about a place at the same time as meeting like minded people from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all sorts of music. Anything from Coldplay (who we just saw live in Paris - Amazing) to Queen, Elton John, new chilled house music and so much more.
I don't tend to watch a lot of movies, but do like the blockbusters (Gladiator, The Patriot) as well as true stories like Spotlight, and the Fargo series 1 & 2.
I want to read more, but have a tendency to get distracted, so I like to read murder mysteries (Sherlock Holmes & Joe Nesbo). I am also a huge fan of autobiographies, especially sportsman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I flew in a helicopter on to Fox Glacier and proposed to my girlfriend there which was an amazing experience. Otherwise a lot of what I see as amazing is probably not right up everyone else's street. I have spent weeks at a time camping in the Zambezi Valley with my family starting from the age of 2. Here you can hear the sounds of lions roaring, hyenas laughing and elephants grazing grass on the river bank whilst you lie in your tent. During the day you can fish in rivers and take in the views of elephants, hippos, buffalo and all the antelope you can think of grazing. It is a truly amazing place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I have far to much to learn to list in this box. However I am learning to find a balance between work and enjoyment, that family and friends are a priority and that money will come and go. I am happy to share this with anyone willing to listen! ha ha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences I have had, stories about growing up in Africa and all of this over a glass of wine or a beer (depending on the weather).
