Overview
About Me
Recent graduate in history and international relations at University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Washington USA. I'm greatly interested in the history and politics of Central and Eastern Europe.
Currently traveling through the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and volunteering in hostels where I can.
Also, I spent my last summer working in historical archives in Budapest -- ask me about Polish radio propaganda during the first half of the Cold War!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is, for me, as much about the people one meets as it is about the sights one sees, so I'm grateful that an organization like Couchsurfing exists that allows travelers to meet locals and other travelers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've attended football matches at both the Euro 2012 and Euro 2016 tournaments, as well as at the 2017 Confederations Cup.
Also, I've worked in hostels in Poland and the Golan Heights in what is today Israel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learning and sharing about other people and my own perspectives on the world. For me, a large part of what makes this world so interesting is how despite the fact that we as people, have so many similarities, especially at the biological and neurological levels, our cultural, national, and historical backgrounds leave us with very different perspectives on life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I'm American, I was the first of my family to be born in the US, so I've gotten an interesting perspective on life. I love to talk about politics and history. I can talk endlessly about sports, especially baseball. I played badminton competitively throughout high school, and though it's not something I do regularly any more, I am always eager for a game.
