About Me

Hello all, I'm currently living in New Orleans, LA. I own a small window cleaning company where I clean and detail commercial and residential windows. I also travel selling merchandise and T-shirts for music festivals across the United States.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I not only want to travel the world to embrace new cultures, but also want to host others to give them the best experiences that I can while they are in New Orleans. I really enjoy meeting new people, my housemate Joe has been on couchsurfing for the past year or two and we've had multiple groups of people staying anywhere from one day to a whole month. I can say that we have only had one or two negative experiences hosting, and even those experiences just made us uncomfortable at the worst.

Joe and I may host people together but we won't always travel together, so I decided to create my own account to build a little social credibility.

Interests

I was in the band as a percussionist in high school and college. I wrestled in high school and coached wrestling for the three years following. I play rugby inconsistently throughout the year due to work and other variables, but I really enjoy playing a physical sport.

On my down time I like to drink and smoke pot. I'm really into rye whiskey and scotch at the moment. Although in the past I've developed a palate for red wines and am a connoisseur of beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can sit through any movie but I tend to like action, spy, and mystery movies. Biographies and spy books are among my favorites as well. As far as music I like a plethora of artists so that list would take to long to type, so generally I like classical music, jazz, blues, raggae, classic rock, rap, old school rap, heavy metal, and smooth R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uh, I started a successful business at 21, I don't consider that amazing, but something has to go here.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I can't host you and you want a general synapses on what to do in New Orleans...

Ryan's Irish Pub: just one of my favorite drinking holes since I was 17.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very respectful and laid back person. I like to have a good time, yet want to learn as much about the city I am visiting as possible. I do not like being a tourist, so I generally don't do tourist things. I want to bike around the city and learn about the local culture as much as possible.
