About Me

I am new to Couchsurfing but am not new to hosting travelers! Since I currently lack Couchsurfing references I encourage you to visit my Airbnb profile and read my positive reviews: https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/20555003

Hi, my name is Nick and I really enjoy traveling! I would label my style of traveling as minimalist -- I almost always travel with only a carry-on. I would describe myself as a friendly guest who is clean, organized and gracious of the hospitality. I am happy to explore on my own as much as I enjoy hanging out and making new friends. A few things I cannot do without are my iPhone and MacBook.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently moved to London, United Kingdom and am on Couchsurfing because having hosted many guests via Airbnb I am convinced that local hosts are more fun and insightful than hotels. I have heard that Couchsurfing is popular in the UK and Europe and think it would be fun to connect with hosts while traveling.

Interests

My interests are meeting new people and immersing myself in the culture of the places I travel. In my spare time I like to cook, read world news and follow Anthony Bourdain's adventures. 2 of my favorite places where I have spent time are Brisbane, Australia and Oahu, Hawaii.

My favorite things include family, friends and our family dog; a long-haired dachshund named Rudy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a podcast junkie. My favorite podcasts are currently the Joe Rogan Experience, Tangentially Speaking and Bulletproof Radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A fun fact about me is that I am currently completing the process of becoming a dual citizen of USA and Mexico.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As of this writing I have had the great experience of hosting 25+ Airbnb guests (and in some cases their friends as well!) at my Chicago apartment. Hosting is incredible because it gives one the opportunity to meet interesting people who share a mutual love of travel and sense of adventure. I imagine Couchsurfing is no different.
