About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Capture the beauty of Australia one photograph at a time.

ABOUT ME

I'll keep this part short and sweet to add to the mystery :)

Half Thai, half American wandering cameraman and an avid explorer of the unknown. I've most recently been working as a Divemaster on Koh Lanta, Thailand and alcohol delivery in Australia for 8 months. Let's add to the ongoing adventure known as life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been privileged enough to attend international schools as a child so I've had a desire to connect with people from around the world at an early age. If I ask lots of questions, it's because I'm genuinely interested in learning about you! Feel free to ask me questions too because I have the unique perspective of being mixed race. You know the dog you see at the animal shelter and you can't quite figure out what breed it is? That's me!

Interests

My passions in life are photography, film, playing guitar/bass, scuba diving, and wandering through majestic scenery. I guess I'm a bit of an introvert at heart until you really get to know me. All of the above interests allow me a peaceful disconnect from the world when I need a little clarity.

I particularly love doing landscape and underwater photography. Both pair well with my desire to explore and I always love the challenge of getting that extraordinary photograph. I've recently made a switch back to analogue film photography. I don't claim it to be "better" than digital photography. I honestly just enjoy the process for myself :-)

Learning to scuba dive and becoming a Divemaster are more recent occurrences in my life, but have given me access to what feels like a completely different planet! Remember that 71 percent of the Earth is covered in water, so imagine what mysteries lie beneath it! Last but not least, I love the feeling of being in a weightless environment. It's probably the closest I'll ever get to being in outer space.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of blues, classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal; basically anything with great musicianship... I miss my Gibson Les Paul :-(

As for films, gotta go with Tarantino, John Woo, Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, WWII Films, and South Korean Revenge Flicks!

While I enjoy reading, I've mostly been listening to audiobooks as of late. It's great for solo outdoor biking/hiking adventures or passing time if you're doing something monotonous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lept from a chair and intercepted a flying jellybean with my mouth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to shoot and develop 35mm analogue film! I have the equipment with me! I also play a little guitar so let's rock n' roll!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, England, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Panama, Scotland, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Thailand, United States
