About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently, I'm finishing an amazing volunteer teaching job in Thailand and would like to experience Italy's culture, food (no rice please), wine/beer, places, and nightlife. I'm hoping to couchsurf and meet great people.

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, If I had to describe myself I'd say I'm easy going, friendly, patient, and funny. I've traveled a bit when I was younger to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Thailand, and Canada. I like visiting galleries, art museums, seeing historical architecture, local foods, good beer & wine, desserts, ice cream, bars & pubs, hiking, and camping.

Over the past two years I've been living in Khao Chamao, Thailand as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer English teacher. Basically, my life has been two years of cross-cultural learning and sharing and I've loved it. The Volunteer job ends this March leaving me free to travel before I return back home to Ohio. Italy, Spain, and Ireland are on my list!

PHILOSOPHY

Follow your gut and enjoy the path you take in life because everything works out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about couchsurfing.com from a friend, Nora, who I'm friends with on here, that has hosted and couch surfed herself. I'm hoping to couch surf in Italy with easy-going and kind people who enjoy visitors. When I return home and get my own place I plan to host travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couch surfing and excited to start! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in a tiny community in Thailand for over two years experiencing things I never knew existed. The most amazing thing I've ever seen were elephants up close at a nature preserve in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I along with many others were able to bathe, feed, and walk with them freely.

Traveling is the best education anyone could experience.
