About Me
Hiya!
My name is Nick. I'm from Portland, Oregon. It's been home for most of my life. This city is beautiful and there are many ways to have simple fun around town: exploring local shops, parks, cafés/food trucks, rivers, or whatever. I would absolutely enjoy showing some travelers around town, and hearing their perspectives and stories on life and adventure.
I've worked mostly in Africa for the past ten years, managing medical projects, and exploring the continent.
I recently moved back to Portland and started back to school for biotechnology. I'm fortunate to have a lot of free time right now, and so I find new ways to get outside and keep exploring more of the area. I enjoy finding new avenues in the city, good places to eat or grab a drink. Love to go backpacking and hiking in general. Love the ocean and surfing. PDX has so much to offer, why not share it with more friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think some of the most interesting and genuine people you can meet sometimes are random strangers. Meeting people from around the world and listening to their ideas has made my life so much richer. Sharing a meal or walking a trail with new people can make the whole experience more colorful and fulfilling, and all it takes is a little humour and friendliness. I think this is an awesome way to create genuine experiences and to truly travel.
