Overview
About Me
I'm an English teacher in Oakland. I've spent most of my life moving up and down the California coastline. I ride bikes. I read books. I seek sick summers.
CURRENT MISSION:
To get as weird as possible before I go back to work at the end of August.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm trying to kick it it with some friendly folks. I had a great time meeting strangers last summer and I'm hoping I can do it again.
Interests
Books. Bikes. Hiking. Comics. Rhetoric. Poetry. Lettering. Animation. Trying new stuff. Exploring. Good cooking. A cup of coffee. Getting weird.

Music, Movies, and Books
All of the above in mass quantities. Especially if you are really into it. Like really into it to the point where you start salivating and going on very particular rants that a select few would even understand when certain terms are referenced. I'm very into the aficionado obsessive specialist type.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode a bicycle across the United States last summer. Mostly with a few strangers that found me on the side of the road in Idaho.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to practice your English, I'm glad to help. I've spent a lot of time working with ESL students. I teach English, so if you're willing to listen I'm glad to start ranting about different perspectives, generate some wisdom, and get a conversation going about words, literature, and people. I'm always trying to get a hold of some new perspective, so break me off a piece of knowledge about whatever gets you going.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, some great stories, and company if you're trying to make an odd decision.
