I'm a 24 year old singer-songwriter living in San Diego, CA by way of a small town outside of Ft. Worth, TX. I've been playing music professionally around southern California for a little over 5 years, and have since released several works, most recently my debut album Sunday Drive.

Music tends to take up most of my time but outside of that, I love to cook, hike, drink beer, pet dogs... drink more beer... y'know, the important things. I really like getting to know people, and Couchsurfing has given me both lifelong friends and memories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hitting the road for my first national tour across the US over the course of three months, starting May 22nd and finishing at the end of August! I did a 3 week tour of many of the western states last year, and that was my first experience using CS. I had such an incredible time getting to meet some of the amazing folks in this community, some of whom are still friends of mine to this day. It brought the excitement of being in a new city to a whole new level, and it really helps out independent musicians like me who don't have a big budget for traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up on a healthy dose of music from the 50's and 60's. Lots of Motown, Doo-wop, Rock n' Roll and pretty much dad rock in general. My favorite band is The Beatles, but my tastes are all over the place - there's so much great stuff out there to listen to. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Texas folksingers and songwriters like Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Waylon Jennings, Blaze Foley etc. as well as newer songwriters like Tyler Childers and Sturgill Simpson.

I can teach you guitar chords! How to make fried chicken! How to open a beer bottle with many random items! The possibilities are endless (kinda).
