About Me
WHO I AM
My name is Nick and I come from Greece. I grew up mostly in Greece and a little bit in Germany. My hometown is a city called Kavala in Northern Greece and since coming of age I moved in many different places, like Corfu, Athens, Thessaloniki (Greece), Heidelberg, Cologne (Germany), Granada (Spain), Liverpool (UK). I currently live in Athens.
HOW I AM
I'm a pretty easy going guy, will do most things, always down to try something new.
I have travelled a descent amount of places already (although not enough yet), but I think that the most important thing is the attitude one adopts towards the Art of Travel, which determines how we perceive the world.
"We are inundated with advice on where to travel to, but we hear little of why and how we should go".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
THE REASON: Because I love travelling, meeting new people and making friends across the world. Couchsurfing helps you with all these! Plus, it is more adventurous and fascinating -and cheaper!- to get invited to live in other people's houses than staying in a hotel. Cheers to that! :)
THE QUEST: I'm on Couchsurfing, because I strongly believe it is the best way of exploring the elements of humanity. That means getting to know people and understand their culture and way of living, providing you with a new spectrum of possibilities to enjoy your own life, outside the comfort-zone. The domestice setting keeps us tethered to the person we are in ordinary life, but who may not be who we essentially are. --> I am on Couchsurfing, TO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE AND MYSELF.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, travelling-wise... I guess, that would be:
walking the Camino de Santiago (Camino Francés) from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France to Santiago de Compostella in Spain, covering a distance of more than 800 km, with an extremely tight budget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can be pretty chatty, especially after a drink. I like to learn about other cultures and history amongst other stuff.
I study philosophy of art, so if you are interested in art, I will probably be a good debater. Plus, I would love to hear your views on that, whether you are interested/do literature or music or painting etc.
I've studied languages, so if you are learning and want to practice a language I already speak, I could help. I would love you to teach me how to say "Cheers!" in your language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A laugh, a drinking friend, an interesting conversation, many stories, random information and whatever comes up.
Respectful of your space and time, and grateful for your company.
